One address. Ten modalities. A carefully curated collective of allied health professionals committed to your whole-person wellbeing — from the Northern Beaches and beyond.
Health Therapies Clinics is not a single-practitioner studio. We are a thriving multi-practitioner wellness hub on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, home to a hand-selected group of experienced allied health professionals who share a deep commitment to patient-centred, evidence-informed complementary care.
Whether you are exploring natural medicine for the first time or you are an experienced integrative health patient seeking a new provider, you will find exactly the right practitioner under our roof. Our collective approach means that when your needs extend beyond any single modality, our practitioners collaborate and cross-refer — ensuring you receive genuinely coordinated care, not fragmented appointments.
From traditional acupuncture and Chinese herbal prescriptions to remedial massage, osteopathy, naturopathy, nutritional medicine, holistic counselling, kinesiology, reflexology and sound healing — Health Therapies Clinics offers the breadth of complementary medicine that busy Northern Beaches lives demand.
Each modality is practised by fully qualified, independently registered practitioners who bring genuine clinical experience and ongoing professional development to every session.
With roots stretching back over 2,500 years, acupuncture is one of the world's most enduring medical traditions — and one of the most extensively researched forms of complementary medicine available today. Our registered acupuncturists work within the classical Chinese medical framework, which views health as a dynamic balance of vital energy (Qi) flowing through meridian pathways throughout the body.
Fine, sterile single-use needles are placed at precise anatomical points to regulate the flow of Qi, reduce systemic inflammation, support the nervous system and activate the body's innate healing capacity. Appointments typically include a detailed intake, tongue and pulse diagnosis, needling, and may incorporate moxibustion, cupping or electro-acupuncture depending on your clinical picture.
Chinese Herbal Medicine (CHM) is a sophisticated pharmacological system that uses plant, mineral and animal-derived substances in precisely calibrated formulas to address the root cause of illness. Unlike symptomatic treatment, each formula is tailored uniquely to the individual patient's pattern of disharmony — two people presenting with the same Western diagnosis may receive entirely different formulas.
Our practitioners prescribe from a rigorously sourced, TGA-compliant dispensary, offering granulated herbs, capsules and raw formula depending on your preference and clinical need. Formulas are reviewed and adjusted as your condition evolves, ensuring treatment that is always precisely matched to where you are in your healing journey.
Our remedial massage therapists are university-trained allied health professionals — not simply spa therapists. Remedial massage applies targeted, evidence-based manual therapy techniques to identify and treat musculoskeletal dysfunction, postural imbalance and myofascial restriction. Each session begins with postural and functional assessment so that treatment addresses the source of your pain, not just the symptom.
Techniques may include deep tissue work, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, lymphatic drainage and sports massage, combined to deliver lasting relief for desk workers, athletes, parents, and anyone whose body carries the weight of daily life. Many clients experience significant improvement within two to four sessions.
Naturopathy is a system of primary healthcare that draws on the healing power of nature to address illness and restore vitality. Our naturopaths integrate nutritional medicine, herbal medicine, lifestyle medicine and functional pathology assessment to develop comprehensive, personalised wellness plans. They are trained to work alongside your GP and other healthcare providers, ensuring a truly integrative approach to your care.
A typical initial naturopathic consultation is 60–90 minutes and covers your complete health history, diet, lifestyle, stress load, and relevant pathology. Your practitioner will design a staged, achievable treatment plan that might include dietary modifications, targeted supplementation, herbal medicine, and evidence-based lifestyle interventions.
Our holistic psychotherapists and counsellors understand that psychological wellbeing is inseparable from physical health. Drawing on modalities including somatic therapy, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), trauma-informed approaches and positive psychology, they support clients to process difficult emotions, reshape limiting patterns, and build genuine resilience.
Sessions are offered in a warm, confidential, non-judgemental environment. Whether you are navigating a specific life challenge, processing past trauma, managing a chronic mental health condition, or simply seeking greater emotional clarity, our counsellors meet you exactly where you are — at whatever pace feels right for you.
Osteopathy is a government-regulated, AHPRA-registered healthcare profession that uses manual techniques to assess, diagnose and treat a wide range of musculoskeletal and systemic complaints. Our osteopaths work with the whole body — examining how the skeleton, muscles, connective tissue, circulatory system and nervous system interact, and applying precise hands-on techniques to restore optimal function and relieve pain.
Unlike chiropractic, osteopathy is not focused solely on the spine. Your practitioner will assess your entire body as an interconnected system, identifying compensation patterns that may be driving your symptoms. Techniques include soft tissue work, joint articulation, visceral manipulation and craniosacral therapy, tailored to each patient's presentation and preferences.
Food is foundational to health. Our nutritional medicine practitioners and accredited dietitians combine functional nutrition science with a deep understanding of biochemical individuality — recognising that no single diet works for every body. Using comprehensive dietary assessment, functional pathology and genetic insights where indicated, they design eating strategies that are realistic, culturally sensitive and clinically targeted.
From managing complex chronic conditions to optimising athletic performance, from supporting fertility and pregnancy to navigating peri-menopause, our nutritional practitioners work with the full spectrum of life stages and health goals. They collaborate closely with our naturopaths and other practitioners to ensure your nutritional plan supports every dimension of your treatment.
Kinesiology is a gentle yet profound therapy that combines the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine with applied muscle-monitoring techniques drawn from Western anatomy and physiology. The kinesiologist uses muscle testing as a biofeedback tool to identify stress patterns — physical, biochemical, emotional or energetic — that may be blocking your body's natural healing capacity.
Sessions are deeply individual and can address a remarkably wide range of concerns, from learning difficulties and performance anxiety to chronic physical conditions and emotional trauma. Clients often report a sense of clarity and calm following kinesiology sessions, alongside tangible improvements in the specific issues they brought to the session. It is a particularly popular choice for clients who feel that conventional approaches have not fully addressed their concerns.
Reflexology is a specialised therapeutic practice based on the principle that specific points and zones on the feet, hands and ears correspond to organs, glands and structures throughout the body. By applying precise pressure to these reflex points, a skilled reflexologist can support the body's homeostatic mechanisms, promote deep relaxation and encourage the flow of energy to areas of imbalance or tension.
Sessions at Health Therapies Clinics begin with a brief intake to understand your current health picture, followed by a full reflexology treatment in a peaceful, comfortable setting. Reflexology is suitable for people of all ages — from infants to the elderly — and is a particularly nurturing choice for those who prefer non-invasive therapies or who experience needle sensitivity.
Sound healing is one of humanity's oldest therapeutic modalities, and contemporary neuroscience is now confirming what ancient traditions always understood — that sound has measurable, profound effects on the nervous system, brainwave activity and cellular physiology. At Health Therapies Clinics, our sound healing practitioners use Himalayan singing bowls, crystal bowls, tuning forks and guided meditation to create immersive therapeutic sound environments.
Sessions may be offered one-on-one or in small group formats and are designed to guide participants from the stress-dominant sympathetic state into deep parasympathetic rest — the physiological state in which repair, digestion, immune function and emotional processing occur most efficiently. Sound healing is an ideal complement to any other treatment modality at our clinic, and a transformative standalone experience for those navigating stress, burnout or emotional overwhelm.
Our practitioners are colleagues, not competitors. When your needs span multiple disciplines, we collaborate directly — sharing clinical notes, co-developing treatment plans and ensuring your care is coordinated rather than siloed. This collective model delivers outcomes that no single practitioner working in isolation can match.
Nestled in Freshwater, we are ideally located to serve the Northern Beaches community — from Manly to Dee Why, Collaroy to Narrabeen. Our clinic is easily accessible by car and public transport, with parking available nearby. We are part of this community, and our practitioners are invested in the long-term health of the people who live here.
We process private health insurance rebates on the spot via HICAPS. Most major health funds recognise our registered practitioners, meaning you pay only the gap on the day. Our reception team can help you understand your entitlements and make the most of your annual extras limits across multiple modalities.
We do not rush your first appointment. Every new patient receives a comprehensive initial consultation — typically 60 minutes or more — in which your practitioner explores your complete health history, lifestyle, goals and concerns. This depth of intake is what enables genuinely personalised, effective treatment from your very first session.
Our practitioners hold qualifications from AHPRA-accredited and ATMS-recognised institutions. They maintain ongoing professional development, stay current with clinical research, and integrate evidence-based practice with traditional wisdom. We respect conventional medicine and work collaboratively with your GP and specialist team wherever appropriate.
From the moment you walk through our door, you will notice the difference. Our clinic has been designed to feel calm, welcoming and unhurried — a genuine sanctuary from the pace of daily life. We believe that the therapeutic environment is itself part of the treatment, and we take that responsibility seriously.
Many of our treatments are covered by extras cover with Australia's major private health insurers. We process your rebate on the spot via HICAPS — no paperwork, no waiting. Simply bring your health fund card to your appointment and we will take care of the rest. Rebate amounts vary depending on your level of cover and health fund — we recommend confirming your entitlements with your insurer prior to your first visit.
Eligible modalities include: acupuncture, remedial massage, naturopathy, osteopathy, nutritional medicine, kinesiology and reflexology, subject to your individual policy. Chinese herbal medicine rebates vary by fund. Holistic psychotherapy may attract a Medicare rebate under a Mental Health Treatment Plan — speak with your GP.
Not sure which modality is right for you? Our reception team is here to guide you. Tell us what you are experiencing and we will match you with the practitioner best placed to help — or a collaborative team approach if your needs span more than one discipline.
